NC Beer Mile: Drink, run, repeat

The fourth annual NC Beer Mile, May 24 at Bond Brothers Beer Company in Cary, should be the biggest, with 450 participants – serious runners to costume-clad partygoers.

Racers chug a 12 oz. beer, run a quarter-mile, and repeat three times. Two- and four-person relay teams are available, or just opt for the Instant Gratification Run and get a free T-shirt and beer ticket.

With music, food and hilarious spectating (picture the bobbing head of an inflatable T-Rex costume), what could be more fun on a Thursday?

The race benefits Team Drea Foundation for ALS research.
